MOST LIKELY, my Christian young adult novel, hit the virtual stands with Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Smashwords as of Tuesday, May 24. The books has averaged about one sale per day so far, which isn’t bad, though it is slow. But for a brand new release from a brand new author? That’s hot.

Sometimes I feel like I need a better multivitamin to keep up with all the duties surrounding properly marketing a book like this. However, I’m managing a giveaway over on my blog, supported by my Twitter and Facebook presence, and I’ve lined up a few influential book reviewers already.

Still, I do have the print edition to get out yet, via CreateSpace. But I’m finally freed up a bit to concentrate on my next project. That’s a good thing.

I’m not a smoker at all, so I won’t be firing up a Dutchmaster to celebrate or anything, but the end is finally in sight; I’m past the halfway point on my corrections and soon will be publishing my first novel, MOST LIKELY.

It’s about time.

Sure, I’m glad I’m taking the time to get it thoroughly edited, vetted and done up right; but I really want the project to be complete. I’m itching to move on to other projects, and until MOST LIKELY is out the door, that’s just not going to happen.

Hopefully, I’ll have a very productive Sunday.

If I can turn this into a nice little roll, it could soon be time for me to forget about truck tool boxes and other such concerns and focus a bit more on my writing. For several months now, I’ve been hinting that I had an article published by a Jack the Ripper-centric true crime magazine, and now that the issue I’m in has hit the stands, I feel free to finally share which magazine it is.

My essay, “Romanticizing Mary Jane Kelly” appears in the current issue of Ripper Notes #28. The issue I’m in is available on Amazon.com, and my article is even mentioned in the promo text, about halfway through.

Needless to say, I’m hard at work on my follow-up to this successful publication credit.
